Top Ten Home Staging Tips - No. 7 - Don't 'neutralise' everything

Numerous clients have heared that they need to 'neutralise' and declutter their rooms when trying to sell - so they take everything out apart from the furniture, and paint all the walls cream.  This leaves totally bland rooms that look terrible in photographs.   1. I have been checking out this site in the run up to my own sale. £0 in Dunhelm Mill changed the whole of the upstairs in two days and I didn't need top paint anything. Thank you!

  2. I made this mistake, the rooms looked so stark in reality and in the photos. So a quick trip to Ikea today for some cheap picture frames and some nice cards, photos and a few pictures from an old calendar have completely changed my house already.
