Latest project

See what a beautiful house we've been working on, in a village in Leicestershire.  This was a relatively inexpensive makeover, using mostly what was already in the property, and it's made a huge difference to the appeal of the house.

Sell a lifestyle

When you're selling your home, show-off everything - sell a lifestyle.  Ensure the Estate Agent's photographs include everything that drew you to the house in the first place. In the house below, opening the patio doors wide shows how inviting the patio space is, and everyone imagines the BBQ's and parties they can have there.  It was actually raining most of the day I was finishing this house, but we just had a moment of sun, so I whipped the camera out quick!!

Moving in to first home

This lovely couple were moving in to their first home. It was fun discovering the right style and colours for them. They didn't want to change any of the wall colours yet, so I added warmth in the accessories.

How to get others to do the ironing...

On my home staging project today, everyone was avoiding the ironing like the plague - it was too hot!  So I set the ironing 'station' up outdoors, in the sun and fresh breeze, and suddenly there was a queue, and 6 duvet covers, 6 fitted sheets, 24 pillowcases, 8 pairs of curtains, and 3 t-towels were completed in no time!

DIY home staging... from one consultation

These homeowners only needed a Consultation to set them off on the right track! They followed my directions, and enjoyed preparing their house for sale, once they knew what was required.

See my photo shoot!

An estate agent called me in to take the photographs of this house for sale. I went yesterday, and spent hours re-arranging their furniture and accessories, taking photos from all angles.  The homeowners found me outside on a stepladder at one point, hanging through the bathroom window to get the best shot!! Dedication! They said they'd never met anyone like me before!!! Mmmm.

More photos to follow on my next blog entry...

The estate agents loved the smallest bedroom the most...

There were so many comments from the estate agents about the smallest bedroom in the house.  I just had some fun with it, and everyone loves it!  And the toy carrot is the most talked-about accessory in the entire house!!

Here are a selection of comments from various estate agents who visited the property:

“A1 presentation” ;
“The presentation even exceeded my expectations”;
“Fantastic finish”;
“The house feels bigger & roomier”;
“Fantastic dining room & conservatory”;
“The bedrooms have a lot of room”;
“Is the bathroom new?” ;
“Unusual kitchen – Very Nice” ,
“Beautiful views from the windows” ;
“Very well presented” ;
“Nice patio area” ;
“Love the motif on the wall" (Kids bedroom);
“Oh the carrot looks nice” ;
“The ladies are going to go 'wow' " (main bedroom);
“You have gone to a lot of effort to present & finish off the property” ;
“The property is so beautifully dressed”

I don't think they would have made these comments if  it hadn't been staged, do you??!
