Numerous clients have heared that they need to 'neutralise' and declutter their rooms when trying to sell - so they take everything out apart from the furniture, and paint all the walls cream. This leaves totally bland rooms that look terrible in photographs. Declutter, yes, but keep interesting accessories and artwork, to create focal points and interest in each room. I have been checking out this site in the run up to my own sale. £0 in Dunhelm Mill changed the whole of the upstairs in two days and I didn't need top paint anything. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI made this mistake, the rooms looked so stark in reality and in the photos. So a quick trip to Ikea today for some cheap picture frames and some nice cards, photos and a few pictures from an old calendar have completely changed my house already.
